Operations

Sureth entered OPS and immediately found Ensign Sayvek ar the science station.

" Ensign I wanted to let you know your petition to stay aboard the station has been granted. After an evaluation of your service and duties you have met the necessicary requirement for promotion to Lieutenant junior grade." Sureth stated.

" That is acceptable Captain. I am honored to accept the promotion." Sayvek replied.

From there the Captain called Ensign Nic Covenant from his post. They were inside the Captain's office several minutes but then Nic exited sporting a new pip promoting him to the rank of Lieutenant junior grade.

And finally the day ended with a visit from JAG General Thirman with his own news.
" Captain Sureth you did well solving the torpedo issue or was damn lucky. For you many years as Captain of the Bohr and for agreeing to take this assignment as a flag rank officer it is my privilege to inform you that you have made promotion to Fleet Captain or Commodore which ever you wish to be called. " Thirman stated.

" Promoted? I never expected a promotion past Captain." Sureth replied.

" The news of Starbase Mercury surviving the first year seems to have carried favor with command. With great power comes great responsibility Sureth." Thirman added.

" As a Vulcan I am prevented to show emotion however I am honored." Sureth replied.

" Enjoy Commodore. The work only gets harder from here."
